How to Commission a Piece
Each bespoke commission begins with a no-obligation consultation with Karen, which can be conducted in person at her Dundee studio, via Zoom, email, or phone. The consultation typically lasts 45 minutes to an hour, during which we discuss:

The type of jewellery you’d like (ring, necklace, earrings, etc.)

Styles you love and meaningful symbols
Karen will then create a selection of design options, each with different price points. You’ll receive these via email, allowing you time to review and refine the design. Elements from different designs can be combined to create your perfect piece.
THE DESIGN & MAKING PROCESS
Step 1: consultaion
A no-obligation discussion about your vision, materials, and budget, available in person or online.
STEP 2: Design & Quote
Karen creates multiple design options with pricing variations tailored to your requirements.
STEP 3: Approval & Deposit
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before crafting begins.
STEP 4: Handcrafting Process
Your piece is meticulously handcrafted using traditional techniques, with progress updates shared along the way.
STEP 5: Completion & Delivery
Arrange a time to pick up your piece from Karen’s studio or choose an insured, tracked special delivery service straight to your door.
timeframe & pricing
Bespoke jewellery takes 6-12 weeks to complete, depending on complexity. Karen personally designs and handcrafts every piece, ensuring the highest quality.

Quotes are valid for one week due to fluctuating material costs.
